A text inspection before an application

Scan the document to see what this parser extracts. Compare the report with the original: name, email, section order, dates and bullet content. Text that is visible on a page can still be missing from extraction, particularly when it lives inside an image.

PDF and DOCX take different paths

PDF extraction follows embedded text items and their positions. DOCX extraction reads body paragraphs and flags header or footer parts for review. Neither is an exact reproduction of every employer’s parser. Use the warnings to investigate and keep a clean source document for edits.

Repair at the source

When text order is wrong, update the document layout and re-export. Editing pasted text can improve wording, but cannot repair the original PDF. Re-upload the revised file to confirm that its extraction changed as intended.

FAQ

Questions before you upload?

English resumes only. PDF text extraction and DOCX paragraphs are checked; visual fonts, all tables, and every ATS layout behavior cannot be verified. Scanned PDFs need OCR elsewhere.

What should I compare with the original?+

Scan the document to see what this parser extracts. Compare the report with the original: name, email, section order, dates and bullet content. Text that is visible on a page can still be missing from extraction, particularly when it lives inside an image.

Does every parser produce the same text?+

PDF extraction follows embedded text items and their positions. DOCX extraction reads body paragraphs and flags header or footer parts for review. Neither is an exact reproduction of every employer’s parser. Use the warnings to investigate and keep a clean source document for edits.

Can editing pasted text fix my PDF?+

When text order is wrong, update the document layout and re-export. Editing pasted text can improve wording, but cannot repair the original PDF. Re-upload the revised file to confirm that its extraction changed as intended.

Is the full resume check free?+

Yes. You can see every score, issue and extracted line without an account. Basic checks, two-JD comparison and report printing are free.

Does my resume leave my device?+

Basic checks run in your browser. Files and job descriptions are not uploaded. AI rewriting is optional and sends only the selected text to our server and Cloudflare Workers AI after your consent.

Is this my actual ATS score?+

No. Employers use different systems and rules. This is a reproducible heuristic check, not an employer score, ranking prediction or guarantee. AI is used only for optional rewriting.
